The Cattier family celebrates 400 years of history
In 2025 the Cattier family is celebrating a very special anniversary: 400 years of family winemaking tradition. Since 1625, the Cattier family’s ancestors have been writing a unique story, marked by excellence, a bold approach and a love of the Champagne terroir. Fourteen generations have succeeded one another in cultivating the vines at Chigny-les-Roses, a village and terroir classified as a Premier Cru on the Montagne de Reims.
«Achieving four centuries of family history is an honour and a responsibility. Every day, we strive to be worthy of our forebears by preserving the quality of our champagnes and the soul and values of our family. This philosophy of excellence is reflected today in an exceptional anniversary vintage and by looking to the future with confidence» explains Alexandre Cattier, current CEO of the company and representative of the 13th generation.
