Following his official visit to China in April 2023, President Emmanuel Macron welcomed his Chinese counterpart, President Xi Jing Ping, to France in May.
Visits between heads of state are always an opportunity to exchange gifts, which can be as precious as they are varied. Our company was honoured by one of the gifts given to President Xi Jing Ping in the form of a magnificently decorated box containing a bottle of a spirit from the Chinese giant Yang He, with whom we have established commercial relations, and a bottle from our range of champagnes, the Cattier Brut Saphir cuvée, both bottles having the distinctive blue colour which greatly appreciated by the Chinese.
As 2024 has been declared the year of cultural and tourist exchanges between our 2 nations, this gift is a perfect symbol of this spirit and philosophy.
We’re very proud that one of our cuvées has made such a name for itself and reached the very highest level of government.
