Clos du Moulin Rosé

Rich and fresh

Covering just 2.2 hectares, the Clos du Moulin is one of Champagne’s two historic walled vineyards and is located on the sunny slopes of the Montagne de Reims near Chigny-les-Roses. The expert team at Cattier has taken three vintages, selected for their ability to age gracefully, and blended them into a wine which reflects their unique origins. The Clos du Moulin Rosé is a single-vineyard champagne and an expression of elegance and fruit. Each bottle has its own unique number.

Clos du Moulin Rosé Description

Description

Eyes : this rosé champagne is a shimmering, almost terracotta shade of pink which complement its extremely fine bubbles.

Nose : it is fresh and fruity on the nose, with aromas of raspberry, candied orange peel and liquorice giving way to spicy, peppery notes.

Palate : this freshness continues on the palate, which opens with vibrant and intense notes of raspberry before melting into spices, bitter orange and tobacco notes as it approaches the long, fresh and complex finish.

Clos du Moulin Rosé Food pairings

Food pairings

The perfect champagne for an aperitif, the Clos du Moulin Rosé also has the complexity to accompany prawns, sushi, duck à l’orange or even a spiced lamb tagine. As a dessert wine, it will be an excellent match for a charlotte (especially one made with the famous pink lady’s fingers from Reims) or a sabayon draped over ripe red berries.
